If it has been a while since you have had a good night’s sleep, or if you have been preventing your spouse from sleeping, perhaps you or your spouse should look into some of the anti-snoring pillows on the market. There are a large variety of these pillows on the market, representing different types for different needs. Many anti-snoring pillows are designed in a unique way. In the early 20th century, L.F. Lieberhardt first devised an anti-snoring pillow. This design had surface with a ball attached to it that protruded onto a sleeper’s back. The ball kept the sleeper from the snoring that is aggravated by sleeping on the back. Sleeping on the side improves breathing.

Many anti-snoring pillows work the same way today. Many people that sleep on their back don’t experience good sleep lying on their back. This is because there isn’t tuning between their nasal and throat canals. Ultimately this leads to the vibrations called snoring. One can prevent snoring by lying on the back and fine tuning the passage of air in the airways. Many anti-snoring products keep you from sleeping on your back due to a design that prevents it. Different manufactures make their own versions of the anti-snoring pillow. They work on similar principles, but there are differences, including differences in material.

The pillows available are made of many different products and designs. Various different manufacturers have slightly different products, but mostly all of them use the same principle, helping sleepers to avoid the back sleeping position. An American brand makes a polyurethane foam pillow made for comfort and strength. Another uses a latex pillow which can be pumped with air, making lying on the back impossible. A `hide to side’ roller shits sleepers to their side.

So if it has been a while since you’ve had a peaceful night’s sleep because you’ve been disturbed by the pesky snoring of your spouse or room mate you should consider looking into one of these products. Or if it’s you who snores and you feel terrible about subjecting your bed partner to your loud noises at night, you might not be aware of the options available to you on the market to help you reposition yourself to avoid the problem.

Many of these pillows are comfortable, practical and inexpensive. The pillow is far more effective and easy to use than expensive nasal sprays, mouth guards or even the head straps. Most of the people have stopped snoring by using the pillows rather than going on to see a doctor or try something more serious. An anti-snoring pillow should be one of the first things that snorers try to get a better night sleep.
