I got to level 70 and buying my flying mount, I watned to spend more time in the Outlands and The Burning Crusade and learn where the best drops and best grinding spots are.

Farming in the Outlands has many benefits, if you skin, you can gather a lot of knothide leather which sells great on the auction house, not to mention motes which can be turned into primals and sell for 10-20 gold each.

A great place to grind is in Hellfire near the eastern edge where Voidwalkers roam. These guys drop motes of shadow and quite often, they also give you money for each kill, and you can get some nice green items as well.

There are many other great places in the Outland to grind including Nagrand, a great area for skinners, the Clefthoof give you Thick Clefthoof leather which is a great leather for high level leather workers and they pay a good price for them.

Not a skinner? You may want to head to Nagrand for the Voidwalkers around Oshu’Gun and just south of there on the edge, they drop lots of Motes. The Shattered Rumblers have great mote of earth drop rate and the Voidwraiths drop mote of shadows.

I like going to Netherstorm to pick up tons of Netherweave cloth, this area has (in my opinion) the greatest drop rates for this cloth, the name is Netherstorm… Afterall, and what better place to grind for Netherweave cloth than a place that has the name in it? You can also pick up a ton of Sunfury Signets in the Netherstorm that sell great on the AH.

Being level 70 has perks, but if you aren’t 70 yet, try heading to Terokkar Forrest and farming for Firewing Signets or Arakkoa Feathers, both of these sell on the AH nicely and the mobs aren’t really that tough. The Firewing Point is the place to go for Signets and the Talonite Bird-guys are in a few different spots.

Touching base on Terokkar Forrest, you can farm for Netherweb Silk, these mean machines go for an easy 10G each, in about 2 hours you can pick up about 2-3 stacks depending on how good you are. I use a Hunter and I like to take on about 4 spiders at one time, using Bestial Wrath to beef up my pet and slaughter these spiders for quick drops, very easy gold my friends!
