Like most airports arriving at Edinburgh can be a stressful time if you are note sure what awaits you when you arrive.

They are more likely to know the best place to meet to avoid any confusion and thus avoiding any extra unnecessary stress. If you are lucky enough to being collected by a friend then try to pre-arrange a suitable meeting point prior to your arrival. The airport has designated meeting points in the terminal building however it is probably advisable to get whoever is collecting you to suggest the best place to meet

With no rail connection to Edinburgh airport you could use Edinburgh shuttle bus service, which runs a regular service to and from the city centre and the main hotels. There is also a bus service (service Airlink 100) to the city centre every 10 to 15 minutes and takes around 20 to 25 minutes depending on the traffic. This service is cheaper but will not take you to your hotel unlike the shuttle bus.

As with all airports there is an airport taxi service and again like all airport taxi services they are not the cheapest. They do however offer convenient and quick journey times and can take you exactly where you want to go.

Car Rental can be arranged at the terminal upon arrival and you can queue up to wait and see if they have any of the popular cars left. As an alternative you can pre-book online and save money, have the car ready and waiting for you and know what it is going to cost in advance.
